Terms of Use

By using SynoPhotoBackup, you agree to these Terms of Use.

1. Purpose

The App helps transfer photos from your Apple device to a Synology NAS that you configure. You are responsible for your NAS, network, accounts, storage capacity, permissions, certificates, and backups.

2. No cloud storage service

The developer does not host, store, or manage your photo library. The App acts as a client that communicates with infrastructure you control or choose.

3. License

You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the App in accordance with these terms and applicable App Store rules.

4. Purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple. Access to paid features depends on verified StoreKit entitlement information. Refunds and billing questions are handled under Apple's policies.

5. Background operation

iOS controls background execution. The App cannot guarantee that uploads will start or finish at a specific time, especially when the App is suspended, terminated, offline, low on power, or restricted by system settings.

6. User responsibilities

• Maintain independent backups of important photos.
• Verify that uploads completed successfully.
• Use secure NAS and network settings.
• Comply with applicable laws and third-party rights.

7. Availability and changes

Features may be changed, suspended, or discontinued. Compatibility with every Synology model, DSM version, network topology, or third-party package is not guaranteed.

8. Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" to the maximum extent permitted by law. No warranty is made that uploads will be uninterrupted, error-free, or immune from data loss.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, access, or availability arising from use of the App.
